본 연구는 국기원에서 발간하는 국기원 태권도연구?가 SCI급이나 SCOPUS급 학술지에 등재 되기 위해 노력하자는 관점에서 태권도를 제목으로 한 논문의 현황을 분석한 것이다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, SCI급 논문과 SCOPUS급 학술지에서 게재된 태권도 논문은 2009년을 기점으로 지속적인 증가추세에 있다. 둘째, 태권도 논문이 가장 많이 게재된 학술지는 Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research로 나타났다. 셋째, 태권도 논문의 학문영역은 주로 자연 과학의 영역에서 연구되었다. 넷째, 태권도 논문의 사용언어는 SCI급 논문은 4개의 언어가 사용 되었고 SCOPUS급 논문은 10개의 언어가 사용되었으며, 영어가 주된 언어로 나타났다. 다섯째, 저자별 국가(지역)을 분석한 결과 SCI급 논문은 36개 국가(지역)에서 쓴 논문이 게재되었고 SCOPUS급 논문은 총 38개 국가에서 쓴 논문이 게재되었고, 모두 한국이 가장 많았다. 여섯째, 논문의 연구자를 분석한 결과 SCI급 논문은 Falco C.와 Pieter W.의 논문이 가장 많았으며, SCOPUS급 논문은 Pieter, W.가 가장 많았다. 일곱째, 김종승 등(2003)이 쓴 논문의 피인용횟수 가 가장 높았다. 여덟째, 저자별 소속기관을 분석한 결과 SCI급 논문은, Hong Kong Polytech이 가장 많았으며, SCOPUS급 논문은 Universitat de ValEncia와 Hong Kong Polytechnic University 가 가장 많았다.

This study is an analysis of the status of Taekwondo articles as registered in the journals SCI and SCOPUS. The results are as follows: First, articles on Taekwondo have increased in SCI and SCOPUS journals since 2009. Second, the publication, “Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research” has the most number of articles on Taekwondo. Third, the Taekwondo entitled articles have focused more on the study of natural sciences compared to the humanities or social sciences. Fourth, in the Taekwondo entitled articles, 4 languages were used in SCI and 10 languages were used in SCOPUS. Fifth, among all published articles on Taekwondo, those from the SCI journals came from writers from 36 countries (areas) while those from the SCOPUS journals were written by those from 38 countries. Sixth, C. Falco and W. Pieter were the researchers in the SCI journal with the most number of articles written on Taekwondo while W. Pieter was the researcher with the most number of articles written on Taekwondo for the SCOPUS journal. Seventh, the article of Jong-Seung Kim et al.(2003) was the highest number of cited by other researchers. Eighth, Hong Kong Polytech has the most researchers in the SCI journal while Universitat de ValEncia along with Hong Kong Polytechnic University has the most number of researchers with written articles on Taekwondo in the SCOPUS journal.
